Satish Dhawan Space Centre

Sriharikota Range became operation in October 1971. On 5 September 2002, it was renamed Satish Dhawan Space Centre. It is located on Sriharikota Island, a barrier island on the east coast of Andhra Pradesh, India.

       

It is expected that Gaganyaan will launch from Satish Dhawan Space Center, as the sub-orbital boilerplate test and launch abort test were.
