On 11 September 2024, Polaris Dawn completeed six orbits at an altitude of 875 miles (1408.1 km), This is the highest orbit ever achievede, beating the record set by Gemini XI 12-15 September 1966. (Apollo missions did fly higher enroute to the moon.)
On 12 September, all four crew members donned the new SpaceX EVA suits for an hour and forty-six minute spacewalk. Only Isaacman and Gillis actually exitited the vehicle. Issacman was outside about 8 minutes, followed gy Gillis for a little over 7 minutes. They each performed a series of suit mobility checks. This was the first civilian EVA.
