Canadarm2 - Space Station Remote Manipulator System
Canadian designed and built, the Canadarm2 is the next generation of robotic arms, a major enhancement of the Canadarm(the space shuttles robotic arm). The SSRMS is needed for further construction of the space station, being able to "walk" end over end to reach parts of the station inaccessible to the shuttle arm. It will be used for construction, moving parts around, and support for spacewalking activities.
