Landing:

First operational flight with a crew of three, lasting five days. The Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) was to be deployed. (Eventually this was done by 41-C in 1984).
When NASA relazied the original launch schedule was not possible, this mission was repurposed and rescheduled. The new launch date became 27 February 1981, with a duration of two days and a crew of four. The objective was to deploy the TDRS-A satellite.
Landing would have taken place back at Kennedy.
