Soyuz 13 was short mission to do some of the experiments planned for the Salyut 2 station which failed in orbit. Since this Soyuz did have solar arrays, this is some question as to whether or not this should truly be grouped with the Salyut/Almaz ferry flights. (See description of Soyuz types)
This also marked the first time that both the US and the USSR simultaneously had men in space (Skylab 3).
